Tulsa CARES was founded in 1991 as a community response to the growing need for coordinated HIV/AIDS care during some of the darkest days of the epidemic. Over three decades, Tulsa CARES has provided a compassionate response as HIV/AIDS has evolved from a fatal illness to a chronically-managed disease.
Today, Tulsa CARES is the largest and most comprehensive provider of prevention and care programs serving low income individuals living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C in the state. We recognize the critical importance of addressing social determinants of health to improve community health and reduce costs, and we specialize in wrap-around, client-tailored care that is rooted in principles of empowerment, self-worth, inclusion, and hope.
Delivering social services to people affected by HIV and Hepatitis C
Tulsa CARES is committed to delivering tailored and integrated programs and services that support clients in accessing medical care, achieving treatment adherence, experiencing improved health outcomes, and living an enhanced quality of life.
We advocate for the end of stigma by addressing client empowerment and self-worth as well as engaging with the community through awareness, education, and partnerships.
