Potential clients should contact Tulsa CARES to find out more about our services and to be screened for eligibility. During our confidential screening process, you can determine if our services are the best choice to meet your needs. If you appear eligible for our services, you will be offered an intake appointment to become a client. After your intake is complete, you are automatically eligible for many of our services, which include prescription assistance and transportation assistance as well as farmer’s market and food pantry assistance. Our Care Coordinators can also submit referrals for housing assistance if you qualify.
Even if you do not think you would qualify for services, please contact us to speak to a Care Coordinator. You may still qualify for certain services and program benefits. Any person living with HIV/AIDS in Northeastern Oklahoma is eligible to receive mental health therapy by our psychotherapist as well as medical nutrition therapy by our Registered Dietitian at no charge, regardless of your income. You do not need to complete an appointment with our care coordination program to qualify for these services. During the screening phone call, if it is determined our programs do not meet your needs, our Care Coordinators can point you in the right direction to other providers and programs that may be of help.
Services for people living in the 405 and 580 area codes may be accessed through RAIN Oklahoma (Regional AIDS Intercommunity Network) by calling (405) 232-2437 or (800) 285-CARE.
